Barbican is one of North America’s leading manufacturers of energy efficient commercial and industrial lighting solutions. Barbican’s comprehensive range of products offers environmentally responsible solutions that are effective for all applications.
Founded in 1990 in Toronto, Ontario, Barbican began as a manufacturer/distributor of Noral products, originally manufacturing die cast residential mailboxes, as well as a variety of signage. Eventually the Noral line diminished, the tooling for the mailbox manufacturing was sold and Barbican entered a new product realm – custom lighting. With this growth came a new facility in Fort Erie, Ontario offering proximity to the border and better access to the U.S. market which allowed for a larger production area and the ability to meet the high demands of the custom lighting world.
With the development of our laminated fabric and lighting products, we have acquired many national accounts including McDonalds and Tim Hortons.
With a strong environmental eye to design and manufacturing, Barbican offers custom lighting solutions tailored to the needs of our clients. Our clean, innovative and contemporary designs include a modular line that can be customized to your needs using alternate materials to reduce costs, compared to those on the market, without compromising quality.
